Overview
Dentists in Los Angeles ("we", "us") operates a directory connecting patients in Los Angeles with local dental practices. This policy explains what we collect, why, and how to control your information. We are a marketing directory and do not collect medical records, treatment history, diagnoses, or other Protected Health Information (PHI).
What we collect
- From visitors: name, email, phone, neighborhood, and the insurance/care preferences you choose to share when contacting a practice or subscribing to updates.
- From dental practices: business name, address, phone, website, specialties, hours, and the email of the person claiming the listing.
- Automatically: page views, clicks, referring page, approximate location, browser type, and similar analytics. We do not sell this data.
How we use it
- To route patient inquiries to the practice you selected.
- To verify and operate claimed practice listings, including billing.
- To send service emails (verification, receipts, account changes).
- To send occasional marketing emails to dental practices about platform features and pricing. Every such email includes a one-click unsubscribe.
- To improve the directory, measure performance, and prevent abuse.
Sharing
We share your inquiry with the dental practice you contact. We use service providers (Supabase for database hosting, Stripe for payments, Resend for email delivery) who process data on our behalf under their published terms. We do not sell personal information.
Your choices
- Unsubscribe from any marketing email using the link in its footer.
- Email hello@dentistsinlosangeles.com to access, correct, or delete your information, or to opt out of cold outreach.
- California residents have additional rights under the CCPA, including the right to know and delete. We honor verifiable requests at no charge.
Security
We use HTTPS for all traffic and encrypted storage with our hosting providers. Access to admin tooling is gated behind an authenticated session. No system is perfectly secure; please contact us immediately if you suspect a breach.
Children
The directory is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If a parent contacts us about a child's information, we will promptly delete it.
Changes
We may update this policy as the platform evolves. The "Last updated" date above will reflect the most recent revision.
