In my 56 years I have never liked a dentist so much. So professional, so qualified and so nice!! Strongly recommend
Do NOT go here if you have any sort of medical trauma or phobias! My experience getting a cavity filled by Dr. Cabrera was traumatizing at best. The first time I met Dr. Cabrera he seemed nice, but when I went to my appointment a year later he was standoffish at best. At that appointment they found my first ever cavity, and I made an appointment to have it filled. At my filling appointment, I shared that I have a severe needle phobia and was primarily afraid of the numbing injections. I also shared that this was my first ever cavity and I was nervous for this procedure that I had never experienced before. Dr. Cabrera seemed annoyed by this, but said my cavity was small and the type that any of the office staff would have done without numbing anyway. Because of this, we decided to proceed without numbing and check in during the process to reassess. We also established a signal for Dr. Cabrera to stop his work if it was ever too much and I needed a break. This is where the problems really started. 1. Every time Dr. Cabrera stopped to ask me if I needed to be numbed he would make comments like "but we're almost done" and "it won't be much longer" in an annoyed tone that made me feel afraid to actually ask to be numbed at that point. He made me feel like I was inconveniencing him. We must also have different definitions of almost done, or the cavity was bigger than anticipated and he didn’t communicate that to me. My partner, who has had lots of experience getting cavities filled, was in the room with me and later expressed that my cavity took much longer to drill than Dr. Cabrera seemed to be indicating. 2. This is the most egregious and the part that actually traumatized me. At the end of the drilling process, after I had used the signal for Dr. Cabrera to stop successfully multiple times, I tried to use the signal again. This time Dr. Cabrera refused to stop. He completely ignored me and just kept drilling until he was done. This is the moment I lost all remaining trust in him, and the moment I became afraid of dentists which has changed my relationship to dental care for the worse. 3. After the drilling came the actual filling. Dr. Cabrera told me this process wouldn't hurt, I would just feel sensitivity. I don't know if this was a conscious lie or if he genuinely thinks that, but that sensitivity was the exact same type of pain I had been feeling when he was drilling. I will never go back to this office again. Dr. Cabrera broke my trust, traumatized me, and forever changed my relationship to dentistry in a way that is already negatively impacting my dental health around four months later. The practice's website states "Dr. Cabrera is a compassionate and warm general dentist that prioritizes everyone’s needs while providing excellent comprehensive patient care." What a joke. Dr. Cabrera, if you see this, and I hope you do, DO BETTER.
Went in for my cleaning this week and, as always, had a fantastic experience. From the front desk staff to my hygienist and Dr. Kleiger himself, everyone was incredibly welcoming, accommodating, and happy to answer all my questions. I’d highly recommend this practice to anyone (and their families) looking for a reliable, hardworking dental team.
I came to this office in 2022 to get a crown placed on a tooth that had a root canal done years earlier. The dentist recommended veneers instead, explaining that it would preserve more tooth structure. I trusted that advice and proceeded with the treatment. About six months later, that same tooth broke off while I was sleeping. Because it was broken off cleanly by the gums, it wasn’t repairable. I had a gaping hole in my mouth and needed to use a flipper and had to go through an extraction, implant, and crowning process that took nearly a year and cost me a lot of time, money, stress and emotional heartache. I understand not every case goes perfectly, but I wish my dentist had been more cautious given the condition of that tooth. I hope sharing this helps others ask more questions before committing to similar procedures.
I have been a patient at Warner Center Dental Group since about 1980. After all these decades I have been seen by the founders of the practice and those who joined the practice later. I have had nothing but positive experiences there. When my sister moved to the area she started going there, too. After she died her dental hygienist and others who knew her from the practice sent notes to me. When I went to my next appointment staff members came over to tell me how much they liked and admired her and how they missed her already. These were sincere wishes, not empty gestures. When I needed treatment from specialists I was referred to other dentists that were also highly skilled and had warm, friendly and competent front and back office staff. I have referred others to the practice and I can't imagine going anywhere else. When I didn't have dental insurance they gave me a discount. I second the praises another patient gave to Jody. I'm seeing her in a couple of hours.
