Everyone is professional and friendly. You get the feeling they care about you, and your health, starting with your teeth. Dr. Sweeney takes the time to explain things and make sure you’re comfortable with the many options they give you. Bottom line, they want what’s best for your teeth.

My experience with Valery S. Sweeny Dental Practice was extremely negative. During my consultation, I was presented with a list of procedures that appeared inflated, unnecessary, and geared more toward revenue generation than patient care. The practice's approach raised serious concerns for me about professional judgment, transparency, and basic ethical standards. Based on my interactions, I found the conduct and character demonstrated by the provider to be unprofessional and inconsistent with what patients should expect from any healthcare practitioner. The experience reflected poorly on the practice as a whole, and I left with a strong sense that patient welfare was not the priority. I will not be returning, and I encourage others to exercise caution and seek second opinions or simply choose another provider. This practice has completely lost my trust, and I hope they take a serious look at improving their ethics, communication, and overall operations. Thankfully, I found a provider I trust. Silverlake Dental Group is exceptional. I recommend them highly as they are honest, respectful, and transparent.

I love the team at Valery Sweeny, they are all lovely. I go there for my cleanings but Dr. Valery herself always seems to want to rip me off when it comes to redoing dental crowns she did herself in the first place. Seems like she does things wrong in the first place so I come back and get procedures redone and pay twice. She recently told me I had to get my dental crown redone and wanted to charge me $2500 for it. When I asked her why the crown wasn’t done properly in the first place she just said “It’s in your plan” I’d recommend coming here for cleanings and regular check-ups but go somewhere else when it comes to more complex dental procedures. She doesn’t really answer questions on procedures that well so you end up leaving the place feeling confused and overcharged. I also told her my jaw was feeling tight from my sleep apnea and she asked me a lot of ignorant and rude questions about how I was treating it. (Assuming I haven’t been treating it before asking me and pretending to be a sleep apnea doctor herself) The rest of the staff is great and very nice and attentive to your questions and needs, but Valery just wants to take your money.

I’ve been going for 4 years and I’m sadden to leave this review as my experience here wasn’t bad when I first started. Over the past year I could tell there was a lot of attrition with the hygienist and the last time I went was the last straw. The hygienist started putting numbing cream on my teeth prior to my teeth cleaning, didn’t explain why and didn’t ask me if I was even allergic to it. He then started to clean and it was the most painful experience ever. I stopped him within a couple of minutes and walked out. When I stopped the hygienist from cleaning, he proceeded to tell me that he has 20 years of exp and that I needed to trust him. I do dental cleanings 3x a year and I’m glad I trusted my gut when it felt off. Prior to my cleaning, I saw someone who also had a cleaning leave in absolute tears because the cleaning was so painful. Please be careful and read the Yelp reviews before deciding to come here
