First of all I am surprised to see that one have to scroll down a lot to find the negative reviews when that clinic has a low rating. That being said , they messed up my root canal by not going deep enough in the gum Causing an infection where I almost lost an eye. When I contacted them they said they will get back to but never did. I can only hope this place will get better

They try to charge you the same price or MORE than a private practice of an experienced dentist. Why choose to have a dental student practice on you & there’s no financial incentive?….. You can’t help but to not feel confident in choosing this facility because of lack of competence and hearing a lot of “oops” constantly. I was still billed for a service because the dental student couldn’t get a proper fit of the temp bridge even after an impression…left w/o receiving a new temporary bridge . I will be disputing with my bank. They refuse to deduct the charge. Stay away!

I have recently completed a treatment at the Advanced Clinical Training Restorative Program at the UCLA Venice Dental Center. I felt extremely supported from the very first day by a superb group of specialists. The treatment lasted several months given the complexity of my case and every appointment was an opportunity to listen to a remarkable exchange of knowledge. Here they were: Dr. Yunus, the two faculty who guided him, Dr. Emma Kim and Dr. Katherine Minasyan, and Dr. Lee, the Program Director. It is impressive to see their commitment to restore one's health in a comprehensive manner. Not a quick solution to an isolated matter, but an intelligent approach that looks for long-lasting benefits. There are also the individual traits that make the place so welcoming and that complement the expertise: a sense of humor, a caring tone of voice, a willingness to listen to our questions and to explain why certain procedures are better. A place like no other, indeed.

August 1, 2023 I had an appointment at 10 am as I had lost a filling on my right front tooth. I filled the necessary docs even though I had been there in 2021 When I was called the clerk called out Elena twice. there were about five people in the lobby and I did respond that my name was Eleanor. The clerk went back to verify the name she wanted. It was me, Eleanor. She asked me to sign on a small black screen I asked her what it was and she did respond," didn't you read the paper I had been given "? I am 78 yrs and don't always retain everything I read. Sort of like her calling me the patient by an incorrect name. I was taken to the x ray room and a doctor came to interview me and my reason for being there. She took a look at my missing filling and asked if it hurt, I answered "no" She said today they would just do x rays. I was distressed what about the missing filling and the doctors response was it would be done in about two/2 months! I asked if I should brush around that tooth and dr said yes, because i could get germs in it if i didn't. Because part of my tooth is missing isn't there a great possibility of the tooth breaking or cracking? Dr again said it would be about 2 months because they have lots of patients. Is that standard? Not even an offer of a temporary filling? I got my $54.00 back but left with a hole in my tooth. I don't know where to go because one of the great fears in my life is the dentist. Tomorrow, I have a Pensioners Luncheon and ask if anybody knows a good dentist? Two months wait period is really excessive. What will my tooth be like in two months with a hole in it?

I've been a patient at the UCLA Venice Dental Center for a number of years. Each year a new dentist takes over your case and this past year I've been lucky to be a patient of Dr. Dane Dudley. From the start, Dr. Dudley's easygoing nature and friendliness allowed me to discuss my concerns about the extensive dental work I needed done (sinus lift, implants, gum grafts). He is confident and skilled, and I never once worried about anything while under his care. I mean, if you read all the awful things that can happen from a sinus lift (exaggerations, mostly) you really have to trust the person who is performing oral surgery on you! One example of what I liked: Dr. Dudley is very good at checking in on you throughout your procedures. Some dentists seem to forget there's a patient behind the mouth they're working on, but not him. He wants you to be comfortable and feel safe. After the procedure, he'll follow up with you to make sure you're doing well. Ultimately, I'm very happy with the progress Dr. Dudley made on all that dental work I had been putting off. Truly, I would be happy if I could keep Dr. Dudley as my dentist. If it weren't for the horrible traffic I'd make the trek out to Thousand Oaks to keep seeing him.
