Studio Smiles

I had an amazing experience with Dr. Higgins at my first visit to Studio Smiles! I recently decided to find a new dentist after my former dentist posted some questionable political things on his Instagram that I did not align with. I have always had anxiety about going to the dentist, but Dr. Higgins was kind, easy to talk to and very understanding about my dentist-anxiety and preferences for my cleaning (as was the hygienist). I would recommend Studio Smiles/Dr. Higgins to anyone looking for a dentist in the LA area.

Best trip to the dentist ever! Dr. Higgins was delightful, informative, and made me feel calm and comfortable every step of my appointment. Best of all, it was very affordable especially without dental insurance. He made me love my smile again!

Maria, Higgins , Donya, Carlos, Maria, Anne and the whole family at studio dental are just incredible people and professionals! I got four wisdom tooth’s extracted and they gave me the support and encouragement to put me at ease. Wonderful place with hardworking staff! I’d give them six stars but googled whack. But they’re not!

I visited this practice in March 2024 when it was called Mid City Dental, before the rebrand to the name Studio Smiles in January 2025. Although the name has changed, the ownership on the Google profile appear to be the same since review replies from 7+ years ago are still being shown under this new name. During my visit, I was told by both a dentist & hygienist that I had two cavities, which felt surprising given my dental history. I take very good care of my oral health and have not had any cavities since I was a kid. I chose to get a second opinion from another dentist shortly after, and was told I had no cavities. I'm grateful I trusted my instincts and sought a second opinion, but this experience left me concerned, considering this area and practice seems to serve a large Latino population that might not know any better. I encourage anyone visiting to ask questions and consider a second opinion before proceeding with any recommended treatments. You have one set of teeth, so please take care of them!

I haven’t had much experience with dentists in the US, so I wasn’t sure what the expect when coming here. But they have been wonderful! The place is super duper clean, very modern looking, it feels comfortable though. They also offer water bottles for their clients. The wait was not long at all, staff was super friendly, same with the Doctor who saw me. Extremely satisfied with my experience with this dentistry so far. I will keep returning here for my cleanings and checkups.
