Dr. Salo is the best! I used to always be scared of going to the dentist, but she and her team make me feel taken care of every single time!! Couldn’t recommend enough!

Beautiful practice with excellent hygienists. Dr. Salo is the only dentist who's been able to get the bonding right on a back molar crown I cracked ages ago. Insane attention to detail. I highly recommend Salo Manhattan for dental needs.

This should be The Good Standard in Dentistry. I’ve been going to dentists and dentist’s offices for over a quarter of a century and this is one of the nicest and most professional places I’ve ever been to. The attention to detail here is incredible, and the office itself is beautiful, spotless, and feels so clean and hygienic (even the bathrooms were impeccable). Every person I interacted with was professional and kind, which made this the most seamless dentist’s experience I’ve ever had. From the VIP service and noise cancelling AirPod Max Pros, to the TV’s on the ceiling, I literally left smiling (and not just because my teeth looked great!). Highly recommend. 5/5

I can’t say enough good things about Dr. Maddie. I went in a little nervous about getting my filler replaced, but the entire experience was so comfortable. Dr. Maddie has such a light touch that I honestly didn’t feel a thing—it was completely painless. What stood out even more was the way they took the time to explain everything and make sure I felt at ease. The results look so natural, and I left the office not only happy with how I looked but also grateful to have found a dentist who genuinely cares about their patients’ comfort and experience. Highly, highly recommend! The entire team is a top notch!!

I recently changed to a new insurance plan. I called Manhattan Beach Dental Center to confirm that they accept my new insurance and unfortunately, they do not. However, the "good news" was that they have a sister office that does accept my insurance, Select Dental in Torrance, CA. I have never had an issue with Manhattan Beach Dental so I accepted the referral suggestion and decided to go to Select Dental. The reason for my (2) star review is solely because of their referral to Select Dental which turned out to be one of the biggest mistakes I've made in my life. Renate Gangel was my dentist at Select Dental. Renate understands her role and what is expected of her, her job is NOT to provide patients with the care that they deserve but is rather to make as much money as humanly possible. Renate is good at her job, she is willing to lie to you, pressure you into paying money for a procedure that you don’t need or perhaps don’t want, and is willing to overcharge you and your insurance company whenever the opportunity arises. I filed a grievance case with my insurance provider when I was charged $935.00 for a crown. My insurance provider (Delta Dental) concluded that I was indeed OVERCHARGED and that Select Dental did not comply with their contractual protocols (the crown costs $195.00 through my insurance). My insurance made sure that I was issued a refund but the entire ordeal was time consuming, frustrating and to be honest, humiliating. I cannot understand why Manhattan Beach Dental Center would refer me to an establishment that would immediately try to take advantage of me. The fact that Select Dental is the "sister office" to Manhattan Beach Dental Center is very concerning. Knowing what I know now, I would recommend looking elsewhere if you are considering this dentist. Their affiliated with an office that willingly scams their patients. Not good.
