Patient Reviews (5)
I recently saw the peridontist Dr. Yi and she was wonderful. Very patient, kind, and knowledgeable. I had to come back to the office because I was still in pain, and while I was waiting, the receptionist Sarita noticed I was clearly uncomfortable and asked if I was okay. She immediately let Dr. Yi know how much pain I was in and really advocated for me. That level of care and attention meant a lot and says so much about the entire office. Everyone was genuinely kind, and I felt truly cared for. Highly recommend.
Avoid this place at all costs (and it will cost you more than you think) and believe the other reviews that say this office is just one big money grab. I used to think maybe those reviews were a little dramatic but now I see why the former patients were so angry. The one star is only for the friendly staff at the front and while at first the office seems pleasant, kind and caring for their patients, it only took me a few visits to see how everything is not only upselling and overly pushy with extra services, but the billing and patient communication comes off as purposefully chaotic. I transferred from another dentist just to get Invisalign with this office, I just had X-rays done but they refused to accept X-rays that I just had a month or two prior and mentioned it was ‘covered’ (let’s see if it really is or if I’ll be getting a bill several months later) Okay. Then was told I need a deep cleaning before I get Invisalign to ensure the health of my gums - at the time it sounded reasonable so I take out a 6+k loan to get the deep cleaning and clear braces. Before even the first visit, I’m told I have a $620 copay the day before the appointment (too late to cancel without getting charged) - and this is for a service that was already paid for. “Oh sorry that was a mistake! You’re already paid for”. Okayyyy. I get the deep cleaning and on my followup Dr. Yang says I need ANOTHER cleaning scheduled only two months after the first $2k deep cleaning. I told the scheduler I’m going to wait until insurance covers it and I was told “it’s covered under your insurance” The day before this 2nd cleaning, I get a text saying I have a co-pay. I call and tell them I was told this was covered, we need to reschedule then. “Oh, this is a different type of cleaning, a perio cleaning” that’s why you have a copay (which was not the case, there was nothing different about this cleaning, it was a regular cleaning) “You have a $55 credit so you’re only paying about $12.” After agreeing, it was Followed by “oh you DON’T have a $55 credit, so your copay is $67” Ooookkkkkaaayyyyy….. While I’m at the 2nd cleaning, the hygienist offered an additional antibiotic injection for my gums (after I just took 4 antibiotic pills before this cleaning) I declined because I just took antibiotics minutes before, don’t want anymore in my system and certainly don’t want to pay an extra $97. Then Dr. Yang comes in and says the same thing - “you need these extra antibiotics.” I declined again and tried to explain to her that with insurance premiums doubling/tripling next year, I’m on financial lockdown. She then ‘offered’ to do another antibiotic injection for another tooth, close to $200, for just $97! Not only did she bypass everything I just said, but she looked highly annoyed about having to ‘discount’ me and do me a favor to do these extra antibiotics for only $97. It felt like I wasn’t getting out of there until I agree, so I said fine and ended up paying the extra money but that’s when I knew this place is nothing but a money grab. I left another dentists’ office years ago and even that place wasn’t as pushy as this office is. Dr. Yang kept pushing my gum health as a reason for the extra services but did not even bring up the fact that maybe the Invisalign trays could be causing some gum irritation. In fact, Dr. Yang told me she was pausing treatment and to wear the same tray for FOUR WEEKS. If you don’t know, the trays are supposed to be changed out every 1-2 weeks. She just told me to clean them.If my gums are such a high concern and the trays are actually rubbing against my gums, the recommendation is to keep the SAME tray in for a month???!!?! At least give me a duplicate NEW tray so it’s clean. Disgusting. At this point I decided to move on and change offices. This was recently so I’ve requested a refund for the remainder of the treatment which is halfway through the entire course. I have yet to hear back. There are so many other options out there, offices that won’t trap you until you agree to extra services - you’re better off elsewhere.
Had an awesome visit at Natalia Homyak DDS! Salma at the front desk was very kind and friendly which made everything smooth, and Marisa did an amazing job with my cleaning — gentle, thorough, and so nice. Best dental experience I’ve had in a while!

I highly recommend Dr. Natalia! I was visiting Los Angeles for a week when I had a feeling fallout. It was very concerned and they were able to get me in almost immediately to be seen. They kept me very comfortable, as I’m not a big fan of having my teeth worked on. In addition to setting me an ease, they were very fair and affordable for a cash pay treatment. In addition to setting me at ease, they were very fair and affordable for a cash pay treatment. I was in and out so fast! Amazing service. If I lived in the area, I would definitely use Dr. Natalia as my dentist!
