Hermosa Smiles Dentistry

Had an appointment @4:45pm. So far they have taken x rays which took about three whole minutes and a polishing of the teeth which was about 5 minutes but we’ll call it 10 minutes to be generous. Since then we have been waiting for 45 minutes and no one has come in to say a word. The funny thing is that there is a sign at the front desk that states the dentist charges $100 for canceled appointments that aren’t 72 hours in advance. Time seems to be very important to them yet they aren’t expected to act in a timely manner. Very disappointed

I left my local dentist because of the constant upselling. It felt like they were concentrating more on the monetary aspect rather than the patient. I was recommended to try Sheena Sharma. It's a long drive for me but I'm glad I made the trip. Sheena went above and beyond to explain everything thoroughly. I could tell that she is very knowledgable right off the bat! All my questions were answered thoroughly. You get the feeling right away that Sheena genuinely cares for her patients. I found my new dentist moving forward!

I can’t say enough good things about Dr. Lindsay Kuehl and the entire team! From the moment I walked in, everyone was warm, kind, and welcoming. Dr. Kuehl took so much time during my exam explaining everything clearly and answering all my questions. The exam was the most thorough and detailed I’ve ever had. She caught a few things my previous dentist has missed for years, and I left feeling genuinely care for. If you’re looking for a dentist who combines high quality skills, kindness, and patience, Dr. Kuehl is the one! Highly, highly recommend!

Honestly, I am freaking out tonight after my first experience at this dentist today, and don't know how scared I should be. I asked the dentist to polish a rough spot on my tooth. After sitting back upright, I noticed there was no clean package of sanitized tools popped open as I am accustomed to other dentists and even nail salons doing. The polishing tool is seen in the photo, and a nurse later carelessly put the one used on me back in the box. None of the tools used appear new and I am hoping I am not at risk of bloodborn pathogens from previous patients since the dremel tools are reused and not sanitized. I was uneasy enough to take a photo while there. Hermosa Smiles: you see my name in this review. You can verify I was there today, and I know you frequently respond to review comments. Please respond publicly and soon because I am afraid of what I may have been exposed to at your office.

I found Hermosa Smiles Dentistry looking for a new dentist online around the Summer of 2024. I used to go to the dentist twice a year my entire life, but stopped around lockdown due to my dentist no longer being a good fit for me. After years of no dental visits, I came upon Dr. Christopher Oates via online searches / reviews. I have gone to Dr. Chris three (3) times now since just last year and what can I say, he’s fantastic. He’s communicative, gentle in his cleanings, and doesn’t over-sell products like my old dentist did. I no longer live down the street from here, but still drive +1.5 hour for my appointments because Dr. Chris is that good - it’s tough to find a good dentist and gotta stick with it once ya find one. The front desk is very knowledgeable and helpful regarding appointments / insurance questions. One thing I love that they do is the way they setup their appointment reminder system. They use Smile Generation as their communication system and it reminds you via texts and emails to make sure you don’t forget about your appointments. The dental hygentists I’ve had during my visits all have been great as well - quick x-rays, gentle cleaning, just overall efficient. Parking is plentiful in the huge Hermosa pavilion center. Appointments fill-up quickly, at least have been with Dr. Chris in my experience, so I recommend ya book a few months out if you decide to choose Hermosa Smiles Dentistry.
