I don't know where to begin... I was in a very tough situation with a previous dentist and their mistreatment of my root canal. The previous dentist told me I would need my tooth extracted because it was likely cracked, and that was my only option. Luckily, I came to Dr. Anderson for a second opinion. His team was able to take higher-quality X-rays, showing my tooth was NOT cracked; rather, the previous dentist mistreated the infection in my tooth. Dr. Anderson retreated my root canal and - most importantly - I DID NOT GET MY TOOTH EXTRACTED! It was a pleasure working with Dr. Anderson, his assistant, and his front desk person. This office is very clean and professional, and I'm eternally grateful to them.

I needed a root canal retreatment on a molar due to gum inflammation that had lasted over a month and kept getting worse. My previous endodontist was a traveling specialist, and I was referred to another doctor for a second opinion, but I didn’t feel comfortable with them; it felt more focused on cost than care. After doing my own research, getting recommendations from family friends, and considering the cost, since I had a copay, I chose Dr. Anderson. His pricing was very fair and competitive, especially considering the quality of his work, and I’m very glad I did. He treated my tooth very professionally, and the inflammation was gone within 3 days. He identified a 4th canal that others had missed and removed metal remnants left from previous treatments. Almost a week later, my tooth continues to improve. He also adjusted my crown, which made chewing much more comfortable. Dr. Anderson also has a wonderful team, and the office is very comfortable with easy parking and a beautiful sea view make the experience even better. I highly recommend Dr. Anderson.

Dr. Anderson came highly recommended by my general dentist. He and his staff are professional, proficient and also kind. My root canal procedure went smoothly and it was a painless process! Dr. Anderson has a calming demeanor which helps take away any anxiety or apprehension of getting the procedure done.

I had a great (as much as is possible with a dentist!) experience with Dr Anderson and his team. As someone who’s very nervous about dental work, the treatment was pain-free, the team were communicative and the work was completed to a high standard. The office environment is relaxed, the equipment is modern, the music is great and the staff are caring and professional - even going as far as to follow up with me over the phone to make sure everything was okay post-treatment. I hope I don’t need to visit again any time soon but if you’re like me and need to get a root canal (re)treated and you’re in any way nervous about the process or pain, I’d recommend Dr Anderson.

If you’re reading this, you’re probably in the same position I was, in June 2025. Your Dentist just told you, “you need a root canal”. And, If you’re like me, you don’t have much experience with a Dentist who specializes in root canals. But when we need one, our minimal hope is that we will not experience any more pain, during and after any procedure. And we want the work to be done well, with long lasting benefits, since our teeth are really important parts of our bodies. In my case, the work would eliminate an infection and prep me for a new crown. My root canal with Dr. Anderson at Hermosa Beach Endodontics was absolutely the best I have ever experienced. His new office is really pleasant to be in and the staff are really on top of everything. Dr. Anderson had quite a challenge with my procedure, since all of the canals had calcified. I think another doctor may have given up and just said the tooth was unsalvageable. Yank! However, Dr. Anderson, knowing how important natural teeth are, carefully treated each root and restored the viability of my tooth. As for any discomfort, I slept through most of the process and 5 hours later boarded a plane with no problems. I would highly recommend this office, and especially the Doctor for anyone needing endodontics. When I returned to my General Dentist, they said the work Dr. Anderson did was so thorough and ready for crowns, their work was easy.
