Everyone was very friendly. Dr Nemirovsky was extremely kind and talked through the photos and xrays of my teeth making sure any questions I had were answered. Very fast cleaning.
I had to get a crown re attached ...I was able to make an appointment the same day and was so happy ...the office and dentist were SO professional , friendly AND very considerate...answered questions and concerns and actually cared about my situation and my dentist phobia ...my crown fits better than before...thank you FULLER SMILES!!! made my day!!! SINCERELY FRANK
Unprofessional Billing Practices and Hidden $260 Fees I am extremely disappointed with my recent experience at Fuller Smiles in Santa Monica. While the office itself is modern, the administrative and billing practices feel predatory. During my visit, I was repeatedly pressured to pay $260 out-of-pocket for what was presented as a mandatory "extra" charge. Despite having insurance and being told my initial exam/cleaning would be covered (or a specific price), the staff insisted on this additional amount. When I questioned the fee, the interaction felt less like a medical consultation and more like an attempt to squeeze more money out of a patient. The main issues I encountered: Lack of Transparency: No mention of a $260 fee was made during scheduling. High-Pressure Tactics: I felt like my standard care was being held hostage until I agreed to the extra payment. Reneging on Estimates: They completely ignored the initial price/coverage we had agreed upon. I value honesty in a healthcare provider, and unfortunately, this felt like a "bait-and-switch" tactic. I would advise anyone visiting this location to get a printed, signed estimate before sitting in the chair and to watch out for unexpected "extortionate" fees at checkout. Helpful Next Steps If you actually want to resolve this or report the behavior, here is what I recommend: Request an Itemized Bill: Ask for the specific CDT codes (billing codes) they are using for the $260 charge. If they can’t provide a medical reason for the charge, your insurance company needs to know. Contact Your Insurance: If the dentist is "In-Network," they are contractually forbidden from "balance billing" you (charging more than the insurance-negotiated rate). Tell your provider they are attempting to charge an unauthorized $260 fee. File a Formal Complaint: You can file a complaint with the Dental Board of California. They handle disputes regarding "unprofessional conduct" and "fraudulent billing."
Staff is super friendly and nice. They're gentle with cleaning and have options to make to help you feel more comfortable. I've never been a fan of going to the dentist but Fuller Smiles has definitely eased the anxiety.
First time patient - and had a great experience! Everyone who works there is sweet and down to earth. Had my teeth cleaning and very happy with the result. The space was so clean, beach vibe, and cute pops of pink! Already booked my next service! Highly recommend 🤍
