Forever Smile Dental Care

Dr. Shelyan is a good dentist, and a nice one at that, but he has a particular style that doesn't work for me, and that I think would be useful to let others know about. He is very aggressive in his treatment recommendations (not in how he recommends it, but in the choice itself). If anything is even a little bit wrong, he suggests the most intense procedure. I have some grooves in my teeth, from grinding. No pain, no tooth cavity, surface grooves. I take good care of my teeth. Yet he suggested two crowns. When I mentioned this to another dentist, they said, "that's about the most aggressive thing you could do." It also happens to coincide with the most expensive option. I don't know if there is a business intent behind this, but I found myself become more and more untrusting of his suggestions because they didn't feel reasonable and they often had big price tags. Even with my simple knowledge, I'd ask a few questions and things just didn't add up. So it's not bad dentistry, per se, my teeth have been maintained well, the filling I did have him do once turned out well, but the constant recommendations for expensive, aggressive procedures decreased my trust over time.

I had a very good experience here! Dr. Shelyan was extremely kind, warm and knowledgeable. He was very thorough in his explanations and took the time to share a lot of information about my teeth, why they recommend certain treatments, etc. I also respected his honesty in everything while leaving all decisions up to me at the end. The hygienist, Armen was also very gentle and did an amazing job! I am so glad to have found a trusted dentist in la!

Forever Smile has been amazing - most recently I had 4 wisdom teeth extracted. I was quite nervous from hearing a variety of stories of traumatic experiences and pain both during and after the procedure. The entire dental team took great care during the procedure and it went so fast and so smoothly with zero pain. Definitely would suggested Forever Smile for any of your dental needs!

I've been going to Forever Smile for almost 20 years. Most people dread going to their dentist, but I always look forward to my visits here. Everyone on staff is so incredibly kind and honest and great communicators. Armen is the best dental hygienist around - he's so good at what he does and it's always a pleasure to see him. Dr. Shelyan is also fantastic. I highly recommend Forever Smile! I refer everyone that asks me to go here.

I went and I was nervous because I hate needles. I got Arman who is an amazing dental hygienist. (probably misspelled his name) but he was so kind and very easy and gentle. I had multiple sessions and appointments and he really took his time in making sure that I was okay.
