After years of hopping from one dentist to another I have always had dentists with some good and some bad qualities, but Dr. C is the full package. His bedside manner is excellent mostly because his craft is not forced. He is delicate, patient, and cares about his practice and you can sense it when he conducts his work. He is always conservative in his recommendations and never tries to upsell you. The dentists and surgeons he has referred us to over time have all been top quality; a product of the fact that he maintains relationships with them and does not refer based on convenience or locality. He has a plethora of information and research to support the questions we ask him and that’s because he is actually interested in and cares about what he does. His staff is always warm and friendly, never cranky or sassy, unlike many medical practices we all know or have visited at some point in time. Dr. C has been our family dentist for over seven years. When we moved an hour and a half away two years ago, we did not hesitate to maintain our relationship with him and the Environdental team. A big highlight: at the end of 2023, during the Christmas holiday, our toddler suffered a minor injury to her front tooth that had us worried she might lose it. We immediately left a voicemail on his personal phone number, which he reserves for emergencies. He called back right way, had us send him photos to assess the damage, and advised us on the best course of action. He then made time in his schedule to see us the very next day. Writing this review is long overdue and we are so grateful to have him as our dentist. Get yourself a delicious lunch or smoothie at Whole Foods and pay Dr. Caligiuri a visit. You’ll be glad you did.

Dr. Caligiuri is professional, pleasant, and a clear expert at what he does. The staff is also amazing and knowledgeable! Every time I go to Environdental I feel informed and secure about my dental health. Highly recommend.

I had one of the worst dental experiences I’ve ever encountered at this office. I came in with a severe toothache after traveling internationally, and I made it clear from the start that I was in pain and needed urgent care. They took an X-ray and confirmed the tooth was infected, but then told me the general dentist couldn’t perform a root canal and I’d have to go to a specialist “up the street.” When I went to that specialist, he explained that if this was my second infection, my root might be fractured. He said he could attempt the root canal, but if it turned out to be a fracture, the tooth would need to be extracted, something he doesn’t do. Meaning I would get charged for a root canal that wouldn’t save the tooth and still have to go elsewhere and pay again for an extraction. I asked them to verify if my insurance would even cover another root canal. Instead of checking, the dentist literally handed me the insurance phone number and told me to call. I’ve never had a provider refuse to verify coverage on my behalf. Insurance later confirmed the root canal wouldn’t be covered, but the extraction and replacement would be pending an estimate from my dentist. When I returned to the office for the next step, they told me insurance wouldn’t cover the X-ray (again) and tried to charge me $87 for another one, plus a $42 exam fee. I asked why they couldn’t simply use the X-rays they already took days earlier, and was told those were “focus X-rays,” not full ones. I explained I didn’t need a full exam, just help with the infected tooth, and they eventually agreed. But once I got in the chair, the dentist repeated the exact same information from my first visit and again tried to steer me toward his specialist, who I then learned is out of network. Which he only admitted after bringing him up multiple times. Why offer me an out-of-network provider first when there are in-network options available? It started to feel like the priority was funneling patients into his personal circle rather than giving proper care. What bothered me most is that not once, despite me telling multiple staff members I was in pain, did anyone prescribe antibiotics or even strong ibuprofen for the infection. I left extremely disappointed, $42 lighter, still in pain, and with absolutely no resolution. I won’t be returning, and I would not recommend this office to anyone in need of urgent or honest dental care.

Horrible, dishonest dental office. Changes appointments after scheduling. Changes pricing after estimates. After scheduling my semi-annual cleaning with the office, they tried to bill my insurance for unnecessary items upon arrival to the appointment. They then tried to advise me that i had a bill from a cleaning done over 6 months ago. After the receptionist ensured it had been sent to my e-mail back in June, she confirmed they had the wrong name & e-mail for me on file. None of this was mentioned when I called to schedule my cleaning. I walked out & will be finding a different local dentist. There are plenty of options in the area, this one was just the closest. Unfortunately, definitely not the best, nor even near the best. I saw some bad reviews before I went & ignored them. Don’t be like me & save yourself the trouble.

Dr. Caligiuri is an EXCELLENT dentist! My husband and I have been seeing him for a few years now and our teeth are beautiful and white. He is extremely knowledgeable and personable. He takes his time with his patients. His office staff is wonderful and personable also. The location is very convenient. I would recommend Dr. Caligiuri to everyone.
