When I first visited Dr. King, I genuinely believed I was receiving quality care from an honest dentist but unfortunately, I was mistaken. Dr. King told me I needed a couple of root canals and treatment for gum disease. I was horrified but trusted his judgment at the time. Later, my insurance changed and I had to see another dentist. I explained everything Dr. King had told me, and my new dentist completely disagreed with that assessment. He said my gums were in good condition, I didn’t need any root canals, and I could preserve my natural teeth with a crown and overlays. At first, my new dentist didn’t fully rule out Dr. King's recommendation. He said that once he prepped the tooth for the crown, he would be able to better assess whether a root canal was necessary. After evaluating it, he confirmed that a root canal was not needed and that preserving the natural tooth was the best option. The difference in both care and the professionalism of the staff at my new dental office really highlighted how much I had been missing. If you like Dr. King, that’s your choice—just be cautious and consider getting a second opinion. Unfortunately, this office gave me the impression of being more focused on money than patient care. Also worth noting: I once had a 9 AM appointment, and I arrived before the front desk staff. Front desk man actually walked in and greeted me as he was unlocking the door. It felt unprofessional, to say the least.
